I've been back for a week and it seems that I'm busier than ever. I'll try to fill everyone in later. For now, though, here's a pic of the kid (she's the one in the cape and crown). Dang it -- she's growing up!

Oh, and I lost that 3.4 pounds.... again..... But I'm headed out of town for the next two weeks, so I have no idea what that will do to the waistline....

I went out in public today. Felt good enough to do that, even! The antibiotics are really working -- thank goodness! My right eye is now just mildly annoying, where before it was painful to look at anything. My ear is still a little plugged, but it's not painful, either.

Then, to make my day even better, I tried on a pair of pants I purchased last year (on clearance) that were the wrong size. They fit!!!

Now that makes for a good day!

Just want to take a moment to brag about the short story I wrote the other day. It's called "It's All In The Cards" and you can read it on my writing blog. Honestly, though, I'm just gosh-darned proud of it and think I did a pretty good job!
